Alex Harris

When I first heard his music I was not only struck by its power & authenticity, but it also left me full of appreciation for the way that lyrics & melodies were expended in such a way they had me comparing his delivery to the to some of the great Southern soul & gospel singers of yesterday. Indeed it’s difficult to listen to his music without hearing the strong influences of Al Green & Sam Cook riding the melodies.

Alex joins us in a buoyant Zoom call, and candidly chats about his musical upbringing, his passionate calling to share his own special brand of quality soul music universally and the motivations which lead him to record his critically acclaimed latest EP, ‘Frequency’.

Alex also gives us an exclusive live acapella medley of tracks taken from the EP.

She recently took the brave step of upping sticks and moving location to Virginia, where under the watchful eye of two times Grammy award winning producer Rio ‘Riotheyneedahit’ Bridges, she has released two EP’s which have really established herself an artist to keep a very close eye on in 2021.

Recently she released the thought provoking and socially conscious single AMERICANA,  so we thought it would be great to invite her on to the show to discuss her motivations behind her latest single, her upcoming new album and also have her share some stories about her experiences to date & if we’re lucky squeeze a live performance as well!
