Tashan. b. Thomas Jerome Pearse, 30th April 1962, Poughkeepsie, New York, U.S.A. Soul & R&B vocalist.

From a child, he was immersed in music. Tashan's mother had him attend local dance courses and he would often miss school days to attend auditions in New York City.

Tashan’s first break in the industry when he wrote & produced 'Yours For A Night' for Whodini. He also made an appearance on the the Fat Boys first album and toured with the Zulu Nation.

Tashan landed a solo deal with Def Jam/Columbia records in 1985.In 1986, he released his first album, Chasin' A Dream. The album was followed by ‘On the Horizon’ in 1990. On the Horizon saw several singles chart for Tashan. 'Think About You' which reached #74 on the R&B charts, 'Save The Family' which reached #34, and 'Black Man' which reached #35, lifted from his first album ‘Chasin’ a dream’.

In 2002, Tashan released his fourth album "Life Goez On" on his own record label, PowerKingdom Music. These days, he continues to be active with his music career.
