Eugene ‘Bird’ Daughtery. (b. October 29th, 1939). Vocalist who came to prominence as the lead singer for the American soul music group, The Intruders, who had a hit in the 1960s with "Cowboys to Girls,”, and who’s biggest hit record was “I'll Always Love My Mama", which sold 2 million copies and is routinely played each Mother's Day on R&B radio stations.
